The Strategy Director is based at Flex’s headquarters in San Jose, CA. and will work with senior company executives on strategic initiatives and M&A.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
- Work with Senior Management on the identification and prioritization of strategic issues on an on-going basis
- Collaborate closely with key business group leaders to support decisions and evaluate potential business opportunities
- Take leadership for specific strategic initiatives at the top of the strategic agenda
- Apply creative problem-solving skills, communicate insights and synthesize conclusions into recommendations
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Typical projects include:
- Growth strategy – market assessment and prioritization, new growth ideas/products, business cases, criteria for decision, go-to-market strategy, risks, business planning
- Externally facing macro, market, and competitor analysis
- Merger and acquisition strategy, capability and gap assessment, target screening and outreach, due-diligence and integration support
- Venture and strategic investment evaluation and management
- Sales enablement – market assessment and focus areas, priority customers, case studies/sales materials
- Organization structure and organizational change – best practice sharing, project management
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
- 8+ years work experience with 3+ years of work experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm serving TMT clients (1+ years as an engagement manager)
- MBA from a top-tier business school with exceptional academic performance
- Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and transformation in a corporate setting
- End-to-end understanding of the strategy development process and hypothesis-driven problem solving
- Advanced quantitative aptitude and problem solving capabilities, ability to prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects
- Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset, a track record of leadership and extracurricular achievements
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the United States now and in the future
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
- Preferred undergraduate educational focus on business, economics, finance or engineering
- Industry experience in automotive, cloud computing, IoT, hardware/software/networks, manufacturing, medical or clean-tech
- Experience with corporate, sales, operations, M&A and org strategy
- Experience managing venture capital, private equity or corporate strategic investments
