Lyft is looking to add a Corporate Development Manager to play a critical role in helping Lyft identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities by partnering with business team across the company as well as supporting the executive team in other key strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supporting day-to-day management of the acquisition process from negotiation and due diligence through closing
- Partnering with business teams on strategy development including identifying and prioritizing strategic gaps, evaluating build/buy/partner options and collaborating on target selection criteria and recommendations
- Facilitating cross-functional teams in developing acquisition business case analyses and executing and integrating transactions (e.g. Legal, Finance, HR, Marketing)
- Presenting strategic recommendations including acquisition business cases and valuation analyses to senior management
- Developing key relationships with external parties (e.g. investment bankers and strategically relevant companies) to bring knowledge of market trends and companies to bear on strategic discussions
- Monitor M&A landscape and key corporate announcements to develop view on industry activities and overall trends
- Assisting with investor relations and capital raising activities, as needed
- Evaluating and executing other strategic initiatives such as joint ventures, divestitures, licensing and partnership activities
Experience & Skills
- 4+ years total work experience including a minimum of 2-3+ years of experience in corporate development, management consulting or investment banking
- MBA preferred
- Direct experience in M&A evaluation, negotiation and execution
- Superior skills in strategic and financial analysis as well as strong communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Passion for consumer technology, especially the sharing economy
