- Working alongside 3 partners to find and filter new investments for BGF Ventures
- Evaluating inbound business plans & hosting first meetings with entrepreneurs
- Building & leveraging your personal network and interests to generate dealflow
- Keeping up with the latest developments in early stage tech & media: through twitter, blogs, press, awards, incubators, etc.
- Researching deep-dives into emerging technology spaces
- Evaluation of new investments
- Rapid initial screening of businesses
- Market & competitive analysis, customer references, light financial modelling
- Deal Completion
- Help the partners complete new investments – including but not limited to: assisting with due diligence, collating documentation, and ensuring all necessary checks have been completed
- Supporting portfolio companies & BGF network
- Supporting portfolio companies on specific projects & further fundraises
- Maintaining close relations with the broader BGF regional teams, to improve quality of deal-flow
- Experience-sharing across BGF Ventures and the broader BGF teams
- Ongoing analysis and monitoring of portfolio to support internal valuation and portfolio management
