ClearSky is a leading venture capital fund principally pursuing equity investments in early-to-late-stage companies and some non-controlling investments in the energy, security, and enterprise sectors. Two distinct funds are actively managed by the investment team, which maintains close affiliations with leading U.S. energy utilities, security practitioners, and investment firms. Representative sector investments may include energy intelligence and analytics, mobility, energy storage, data security, threat detection, physical security, and next-generation cybersecurity and power generation solutions. Primary Job Responsibilities:
Support active investment processes and portfolio companies, including:
- Assisting with due diligence including financial and operations modeling, industry research, and competitive benchmarking
- Assisting with the creation of investment memos, quarterly reports, and portfolio company correspondence
- Conducting in-depth research and reports on potential investment themes
- Screening potential investment opportunities for preliminary interest
- Ad hoc analyses and support for portfolio companies
- Maintaining and organizing tracking databases
- Scanning and summarizing industry news and deal announcements
- Assisting with the preparation of fundraising and annual meeting materials
- Supporting the Fund’s CFO for accounting and reporting activities
Desired Background:
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience and training program (investment banking, private equity, or similar experience preferred)
- Strong modeling and quantitative ability
- Demonstrated record as a self-starter and team player
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- A desire to work and live in South Florida
