TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. TGH is also accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). *Air transport provided by Metro Aviation, Inc. Job Summary This position supports the VP of Innovation and the Innoventures team across a range of investment and operational activities, including researching, sourcing, and screening new opportunities, assisting in due diligence and portfolio reporting, and managing internal pipeline and portfolio tracking tools, all in conjunction with startup/VC investment and strategic partnership opportunities.  Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.  Areas of Responsibility: 

Research: Support market research to support new and existing investment thesis development, including producing written research/analysis and sector presentations.

Due diligence support: Perform specific elements of the deal review process, including writing investment memos, quantitative analysis (e.g., financial modeling), competitor and market scans, customer interviews, and technology reviews.

Operations: Manage internal pipeline and portfolio management tools and contribute to internal-facing reporting on portfolio health and investment theses.

Networking: Contribute to expanding the team’s network with relevant industry stakeholders, operators, experts, and others, and build key relationships with internal executives.

Marketing: Support activities that extend the organization’s reach, including attending external events, supporting team and portfolio gatherings, and contributing to thought leadership content.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3 years of professional experience, ideally in technology, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy. Related experience may substitute on a year for year basis for the Bachelor’s degree.  Experience in or knowledge of healthcare industry a plus.
  • Critical thinking, including superior research and quantitative analytical capabilities
  • Excellent writing, presentation,  verbal communication, and project management skills required.
  • Strong networking skills

  • Local OR comfortable with relocation to Tampa area.
