We are looking for a VC Analyst to join Sweater’s Investment team. The analyst-level role is a junior member of the team but will have a great deal of autonomy and responsibility to help drive the deal making process.
This is a unique opportunity to work for a VC fund that is changing the game. While your primary charter will be to source and screen deals, you’ll have exposure to Sweater’s complex and exciting business model that allows anyone to invest into our fund at any time.

Who you are
You are highly self directed and curious. You present yourself confidently while being humble and willing to listen and learn. You are analytical with the ability to process lots of information and produce your own conclusions.
Hard skills we’re looking for:
- At least 1 year of combined experience working in VC or for high growth startups in operations, analytics, business development or product.
- Familiarity with dynamics of venture capital operations and financing
- BS/BA degree, or higher, with a track record of academic success
- Highly proficient in Excel with strong business analysis skills. Exposure to financial modeling is preferred
- Experience building compelling presentations and business cases. Prior experience creating investment memos a plus
- Strong verbal communication and social intelligence skills
- Demonstrated interest in engaging with founders and entrepreneurs.
What you’ll do every day:
- Conduct market research on industry trends, sectors, and companies
- Source deals (in partnership with our Deal Scouts) and run preliminary evaluation of sourced deals
- Track and manage internal deal flow
- Create investment memos for deals
- Work closely with startup’s management teams to drive the due diligence process forward
- Strongly evangelize Sweater’s mission
