VC Analyst @ Fairview Capital in Remote

Position summary

The Analyst will provide support to Fairview’s investment and business development teams. Responsibilities will include market research, due diligence, investment monitoring, preparing marketing materials and supporting the reporting process. In addition, the Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the firm’s deal flow log. At least a two-year commitment is expected.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Provide support for business development activity
  • Provide support for investment due diligence process
  • Conduct research on market themes in venture capital and private equity and disseminate acquired knowledge formally and informally
  • Actively maintain the firm’s deal log and industry databases
  • Support semi-annual and annual reporting process
  • Assist with Fairview’s external communications, including digital media and annual meetings

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a demonstrable record of high achievement
  • Interest in investing (related experience is an advantage)

Abilities required

  • Strong communications skills (including writing and PowerPoint skills) and an aptitude for digital media management
  • Inquisitive personality and a passion for information and learning
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong data acquisition and analysis skills (including Excel skills)
  • Detail-oriented and end-product focused
  • Self-motivated and able to conduct independent research
  • Well organized with superior time management skills
