About the opportunity:
Digital Currency Group, Inc. (“DCG”) is looking to hire a Venture Analyst to participate in all aspects of venture investing including sourcing, analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Sourcing early-stage crypto network and business investment opportunities
- Driving transactions through each phase of the pipeline from initial contact, diligence, and decision making
- Identifying and deeply evaluating key valuation drivers, thematic views, industry trends, and idiosyncratic considerations with respect to early-stage crypto networks and businesses
- Presenting early-stage crypto investment recommendations to investment committee
- Managing early-stage crypto deal execution including deal structing, negotiation and documentation
- Participating in investor, developer, and other industry conferences for strategic intel
- Managing, growing, and maintaining a deep network of relationships with developers, investors, and other industry players to stay at the cutting edge of next-generation projects and ideas
- Performing deep dive, bottom-up fundamental research on specific digital assets and related businesses to produce high conviction investment ideas
- Designing and formalizing processes around our venture investing activities
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in either Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Corporate Development in the cryptocurrency industry
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree from a top-tier university
- Strong track record of advancement/attainment in both academic and professional environments
- Familiarity with the cryptocurrency and startup ecosystem and the entrepreneurial journey strongly preferred
- Prior Venture Capital experience strongly preferred
- Broad familiarity with academic finance literature strongly preferred, including financial statement analysis and proficiency in financial modeling
