About the role:

We’re looking for an ambitious, curious, and experienced investor with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the partnership to support and drive the entire investment process. This includes identifying attractive investment areas, sourcing opportunities, conducting due diligence, and more. This is a high impact role that will allow the opportunity for the successful candidate to help shape the future of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify key categories and technologies that can serve as attractive areas of potential investment. Have an in-depth and clear perspective on technological trends, and the challenges and opportunities they create for startups and potential investors. Develop bottom-up investment theses grounded in deep sector-specific research.

  • Source and manage potential investment opportunities. Build relationships with founders and operators, and identify paths of mutual collaboration with our firm.

  • Prepare and execute in-depth diligence of potential investments, including both technical and financial diligence. Develop a deep point of view on the company and all variables relevant for making an investment decision, including its product, team, market, and competitive landscape, among other factors.

  • Collaborate with the investment team to manage the above processes, the investment pipeline, and internal operations. We work in a highly collaborative setting, and all members of our team contribute to not only the investment process, but the continued improvement of internal processes that contribute to the development of the firm.

  • Work closely with management teams at our portfolio companies to identify key near-term, medium-term, and long-term initiatives. Leverage firm resources to assist portfolio companies on an ongoing basis.

Job Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as an early-stage investor

  • The ideal candidate will have one or more categories of technology in which they possess deep sector-specific expertise, including knowledge about the leading companies, relevant technological trends, relevant economic trends, and competitive dynamics

  • Entrepreneurial drive and high intensity to help build a new investment firm

  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a dynamic environment

  • Highly collaborative team member with company-first mindset

  • Able to prioritize work independently and lead multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of efficacy

  • Deep intellectual curiosity about technology and financial markets

  • High conviction investment mindset with flexibility to adjust points of view in a continually changing environment

  • Strong writing skills and ability to distill complex technologies and financial data into written presentations and memos

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to verbally communicate complex technologies and financial concepts
