About The Job

Gradient Ventures is a female-led seed stage/series A Venture Capital firm backed by Google. Founder and managing partner, Anna Patterson, established the fund in 2017. As founders who want to invest in founders, Gradient has a full investment team and operations team that is ready to roll up their sleeves and help our founders grow their businesses.

Gradient’s investors will have full exposure to all parts of the Venture Capitalist (VC) system. Investors will review companies for investments, write investment memos, conduct deep dive research into industries, do financial modeling, data science projects, and perform portfolio support. In addition, investors will partner with the larger Operations team such as Talent, Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Coaching to design and implement founder first related projects. Our investor track is designed to develop other skills essential to a customer facing role: public speaking, debating, vision development, leadership, coaching and approaching situations with curiosity which will allow investors to build the skills to advance into roles within the VC community.

  • Source and review companies for investment, portfolio analysis, and support.
  • Write investment memos, and conduct deep dive research into industries that includes financial modeling and data science projects.
  • Partner with the Operations team (e.g., Talent, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Coaching) to design and implement founder first related projects.
