JUMP Investors (www.jumpinvestors.com), a Los Angeles-based entrepreneurial venture capital investment firm, is interviewing for our annual internship program. We are looking for incredibly talented, hard-working, passionate, creative, and highly motivated interns to work on a fun, travel-related portfolio company.  This is a teaching internship – it is NOT paid and requires students to receive school credit.  We also require interns to relocate to Los Angeles.

This is a very unique opportunity to work closely with a well-known, successful, LA-based serial entrepreneur and investor – the CEO of JUMP is a co-founder of Akamai Technologies and his venture capital investments have included many exits through acquisitions or IPOs.

Interns will gain invaluable hands-on experience on how to build a startup, engage in regular / almost daily interactions with our CEO, and gain exposure to multiple industries and industry leaders.

As part of our summer intern program, we have an exciting guest speaker program through which entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and other well-known executives and industry leaders share their experiences with our interns.  Our past guest speakers have included former CEO of LegalZoom and The Honest Company and founder / Managing Member of BAM Ventures; the co-founder and President of Moelis & Company; the Chief Investment Officer / Morningstar Manager of the Decade of FPA Funds; the former Vice Chairman of Apollo Global Management and former CEO of Kayne Anderson; the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals; the former President of Relativity Media / Founder and CEO of Catalyst Sports; the former VP of Technology at Snapchat; the CFO of Gusto and former CFO of Tesla; the former CEO of ICM Partners; the founder and Managing Partner of Anthem Venture Partners, the President of Jukin Media, the former CEO of Zappos, and many others.

The primary responsibilities of our interns will be to conduct detailed research on our portfolio company Sandee – we have created the world’s most comprehensive beach database by cataloging more than 100 categories of information for more than 100,000 beaches in 212 countries.  Interns will also work on marketing plans, social media strategy, public relations outreach, media curation, web design, quality assurance, and writing blogs.

· Creativity and ingenuity.

We like students from diverse backgrounds and majors, and although these are not necessary, a background in startups, marketing, social media, UI/UX design, software engineering, data science, or creative writing is helpful.
