Internship Overview:

HBCUvc Fellowship Program serves as the launching pad for those looking to enter the venture capital, tech, and entrepreneurship industries. The selection process for prospective Fellows focuses on placing top-tier talent in comprehensive and fulfilling experiences within the VC ecosystem through paid summer internships hosted by our partner firms. Ahead of their 10-week internship, Fellows will gain foundational knowledge about venture capital and entrepreneurship, participate in an engaging orientation and 3-day retreat, and form connections with community members throughout our ecosystem.

Summer fellowship placements will be offered through two cohorts: HBCU Cohort (Nationwide) and 50 South Cohort (Chicago, IL).

The final deadline to apply is Sunday, January 29th, 11:59PM EST. If applicants submit their applications early, then they can receive feedback with an option to resubmit.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current students should have a minimum of 24 credit hours
  • Recent alumni should be graduates of the Class of 2020 or later.
  • Current MBA student expecting to graduate in 2024/2025
  • Sincere interest in investing and growing companies, as evidenced by prior work or extracurricular experience.
  • Self-starter and intellectually curious with interest in working within a highly collaborative team.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, comfortable presenting, and willing to share ideas.
  • Open to all majors + HBCU & non-HBCU students

Job Type: Full-time paid summer internship

The U.S. compensation for this full-time position is starting at $20 – $35 per hour

Undergraduate and Recent Alumni will receive a $10,000 stipend during their summer internship; Graduate-Level/MBAs will receive a $14,000 stipend.

Location: Nationwide & In person/on-site

Internship Timeline: 10 Weeks (June 5 – August 11)

Required Work Authorization: United States

** Please note, the summer internships roles are full-time, in-person and interns will be expected not to have any competing commitments, which would include working another job simultaneously.
