New 2ND Capital:
New 2ND Capital is a private equity firm focused on GP-led secondaries investments in lower middle market and middle market companies in North America. We are utilizing a variety of transaction types such as fund restructurings, spin-outs, strip sales, secondary directs and continuation funds.
Opportunity:
This role at New 2ND Capital will provide exposure to many facets of the private equity universe, including company assessment and valuation, transaction structuring, and manager evaluation. New 2ND Capital has a lean environment, and candidates should be willing to wear a variety of hats as needed, including both investment and business building work. We are looking for motivated self-starters with strong investment acumen and the ability to run with and take ownership of projects.
Responsibilities:
· Comprehensive due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including company and fund modeling and industry research
· Creation of detailed financial projections and modeling of possible investments
· Active involvement in executing sourcing strategy
· Research select industry sectors to identify possible acquisition targets and execute research on new areas that firm would like to explore
· Drafting investment memoranda, presenting research, and the ability to discuss and analyze the merits of an investment
· Assist in fundraising efforts as needed
Qualifications:
One to three years of experience (investment banking, private equity, transaction services)
Bachelor’s degree with a record of academic achievement required
Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, and ability to make thoughtful recommendations
Ability to analyze a wide variety of businesses and write investment memoranda
Willingness to work on a wide range of tasks, and ability to prioritize among projects
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Entrepreneurial personality a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills as well as the ability to work under strict deadlines
· Well-rounded interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently with limited supervision
· Honest, friendly, positive, team attitude with high standards of excellence
