We are currently seeking an exceptional Venture Capital Associate to join our growing team team. The ideal candidate will be driven, analytical, and passionate about the startup ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in the investment process, from deal sourcing to portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing:

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify promising investment opportunities in target industries and markets.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.
  • Monitor and evaluate relevant industry trends, news, and developments to inform investment decisions.

Due Diligence & Investment Analysis:

  • Support the investment team in conducting thorough due diligence on prospective investments, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials to support investment decisions and deal execution.
  • Analyze portfolio company financials, KPIs, and other performance metrics to assess investment performance and inform portfolio management decisions.

Portfolio Management & Support:

  • Act as a liaison between the firm and portfolio companies, providing ongoing support, strategic guidance, and resources to help them achieve their growth objectives.
  • Assist in monitoring portfolio companies’ performance, addressing potential risks, and identifying opportunities for value creation.
  • Collaborate with portfolio companies to develop and refine their business plans, financial models, and investor presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, engineers, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in venture capital or a high-growth technology company. Preference for prior experience at a venture backed technology company.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with the startup ecosystem, emerging technologies, and market trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for deal sourcing and due diligence activities.
