Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end deal-flow process for new investments, including sourcing, vetting, conducting due diligence, determining the value and optimal capital structure, negotiating and then executing
- Analyse industries and understand the competitive landscape to identify attractive investment opportunities
- Present investment opportunities to the team, including preparing high-quality investment papers and supporting materials
- Build and maintain strong relationships with portfolio company founders, providing ongoing mentoring and strategic support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with co-investors – from Angels and Angel Networks to VCs
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified to at least degree level in a relevant subject, or demonstrable evidence of knowledge gained from other sources and/or experience
- 3-5 years of VC experience (seed stage) with an established UK network
- Relevant investment and/or deal transaction experience
- Domain experience or interest in emerging technology

Ascension is a small but growing team and will expect the candidate to evidence an ability to grow and adapt accordingly.
Location
Ascension supports hybrid working. The successful candidate should expect to work in Ascension’s offices in Vauxhall for 2 days per week with one other day spent in a co-working space in the West End.
