VC Analyst
At New Stack, we recently closed our $42M Fund II and are aggressively hunting for the most innovative, tenacious, and mission-driven founders outside of the Bay Area. VC has seen little innovation in the past two decades. We are committed to building the top VC between the coasts and need to expand our team of tenacious investors.
New Stack Ventures is seeking an Analyst to start immediately. This individual will be a part of the Investment Team and responsible for the following:
- Dealflow
o Build new strategic channels through relationships and technology
o Source, filter, and pre-qualify high-potential startups
- Diligence
o Manage the deal process, communications, and deliverables required to complete new investments (pre and post-term sheet signing)
o Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to expedite the close of investments ● Portfolio Management
o Streamline and manage the capital strategy and Series A plan for portfolio companies ● Brand
o Market research and thesis development on sectors of interest
o Management of efforts to promote and expand New Stack’s brand
o Content creation that promotes and expands the New Stack brand
Prospective candidates should have the following characteristics:
- Entrepreneurial, creative, resourceful, high EQ, high attention to detail, and strong networking skills
Investment Banking, PE, Finance, and those with entrepreneurial backgrounds are encouraged to apply. 2-3 years of work experience is strongly preferred.

New Stack was founded in Chicago with a mission to invest in Outsiders. Founder, Nick Moran launched the first VC podcast in 2014 (now one of the largest media assets in venture with >100k subscribers) and led a top decile 2018 vintage Fund I.
