ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fast-growing team in London. Your primary role will be to help shape our theses on emerging technologies and business models, assist the team with due diligence and support our portfolio companies. Every one of our team members plays an important part in shaping our processes, strategy and culture.
We are looking for someone with 1-2 years of relevant work experience, ideally rooted in product or engineering. Native German language skills and knowledge of the DACH market are also a big plus. The role is based in London (hybrid), with travel around the region to be expected.
Responsibilities
- Market research; emerging technologies, industry trends, regional dynamics
- Due diligence; assessment of technology, product, market opportunity, team etc.
- Preparation of investment memos
- Portfolio monitoring and support
- Assisting with portfolio analysis and benchmarking
- Assisting with preparation of management/LP reports
- Contribute to continuous improvement across our investment and business processes

You are a natural tinkerer and get a buzz from experimenting with new software and technologies. You take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion. You either have personal experience as an entrepreneur or a very high degree of empathy and passion to support those doing it.
Skills & Experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, ideally in product or engineering roles at a venture-backed startup
- Good knowledge of software development tools and processes
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Financial literacy
- Proactive, well-organized, self-starter
- Collaborative approach
- Deep intellectual curiosity and appetite for learning
- Network in the start-up community
- Knowledge of financial services, healthcare, enterprise software and/or cybersecurity sectors a bonus
- Other regional language skills also a plus
