Bain Capital Ventures
We are seeking full time Analysts for summer 2023 start, based in Boston. The ideal candidates will have a strong academic record with prior internship experience within an investment bank, consulting firm, sales team, tech startups and/or personal experience as an entrepreneur. Candidates should exhibit the following skills and/or experiences:
- Self-motivated, creative thinker with strong commercial instincts
- Strong communication, interpersonal and selling skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively
- Excellent academic record from a top undergraduate school

Tech Opportunities Overview
Bain Capital Tech Opportunities is an affiliate of Bain Capital established to invest in growing technology businesses. The vision is to leverage Bain Capital’s global platform, deep vertical expertise and value-creation capabilities to help growing technology companies reach their full potential. Tech Opps will focus on large and growing end markets: application software, infrastructure and security, healthcare IT fintech and internet and digital media. The fund will target companies with innovative or disruptive technology, and support their transformational growth.
Investments will be deployed across a broad array of archetypes, including mid-market control buyouts, late-stage growth capital, cross-platform investments and tactical opportunities.
What Tech Opportunities Analysts Do
Bain Capital professionals are exposed to a broad set of situations and companies, and systematically develop skills as a value added investor — not just a financial engineer. Analysts will learn how to evaluate investment opportunities through the application of fundamental strategic analysis in addition to the more traditional financial modeling.
Analysts serve as our front line in contacting and evaluating entrepreneurs with the hope of generating proprietary investment opportunities. In this role, they become a real part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and are expected to develop relationships with outstanding entrepreneurs.
